Question :

What is Short Loan?

Answer :

Lecturers place books on Short Loan (Course Reserve) because they are recommended texts and are therefore in High Demand.

Short Loan books are issued to you for an hour, and may ONLY be read IN THE LIBRARY when the Library is open.

Overnight loans may be booked. These items will be issued to you half an hour before the Library closes, and must be returned to the Library by 09h00 the next day. (Remember there is a Book Returns chute at the Library's entrance for use if the library is closed)

Make sure you know the shelf number (call number) and barcode of the Short Loans book when you request it from the Loans Desk staff.
